I am writing this one out of curiosity, I am intersted in what my fellow peots think of letting the child in your heart live and thrive. Or even if you think it should be tucked away and left aside. So i guess what i am asking if you feel so to do is to write a poem on the matter and post it. If not that is fine i am just curious. The Child Reality says I have to be “Mature,” grown up Yet as the rain falls the child inside my heart smiles The puddle on the walk way calls to my weary soul “Maturity” would require me to walk around Yet the child in my heart says to jump One puddle after another my soul splashes the water of life The “Mature” stare and condemn with the other “Mature” Yet in their hearts they are jealous My sanity is intact, though trials, tribulations … life The “Mature” heart lies sad, tired … cold My child weeps for them yet can do nothing If it were to, I would become an example, “Mature “ So I continue … walking, splashing … Letting the child in my heart heal my weary soul There's a peace inside us all Let it be your friend It will help you carry on In the end There's a peace inside us all -Creed |

Barelon, my inner child says "JUMP!" My Outer Adult Says "walk!" my inner child says "RUN!!" My Outer Adult Says "walk!" my inner child says "JELLO!!" My Outer Adult Says "bran!!" my inner child says "CANDY!!" My Outer Adult Says "oats!!" Who do you think that I'm going to listen to? Let your child live!!!! It's all we can do to keep SANE!!!!! Let the "Mature" people stare and wonder, because you know that if they could, they'd be right there with you!!! Excellent poem my childish friend, and that's a compliment!! ------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

At 8 I played tag, with my best friend dog shag. At 10 I kissed a girl, at 12 I found the world. At 13 I danced moon river, at 15 I fell in love with a girl that made me shiver. At 21 I had the world by the tail, At 31 I thought I had failed. At 45 I lived in a bag, At 50 I once again played Tag. Are we not all true children of the heart? |

Yes nicely put both of you. The child drives myself and it is nice to know it does others as well. |

Oh my gosh! Baerlon, I wrote and posted a poem about the child within my heart dying, a real long while ago here. Feel free to check it out if you want. I think the title was Wilted Wildflowers Joy [This message has been edited by JOY 14 (edited 04-08-2000).] |

Oh my god, this is exactly how I feel most of the time, my daughter thinks I'm crazy and is forever telling me to act like a "mum", But I just love acting like a kid and I think it keeps me feeling younger and healthier ???? I'll set my muse to work and see what I can come up with Tracie~ Keep all the windows of your mind open Anne Rooks |
