The stars were aligned the night I was born, And that is usually bad in a cosmic way, So maybe that is why my life is ebbing, For I was born to pay. I find my shreds of happiness, And someone always does their darndest to take it away, I love who and what I've become, But sometimes secretly still doubt it at the start of each new day. I love my friends and family, But must admit I nuture a fear, That they don't love me as I love them, Out of sight, out of mind, when I'm not near. Will I always feel this inadequacy? Is this a normal thing to feel? Or I am merely overexagerating? Imagining things that aren't real? As my life rolls on, I know one day I'll find my answers, I'll keeping hoping and praying, That true peace will come my way. That friends and family, Indeed mean what they say, That my doubts and insecurities, Will finally fade away.............. There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Very nice poem Isis!! Others always tell me if we fight for what we really want, we can have it. I havent yet seen that to be true. But I am hopeful. Never lose touch and keep taking those 2 steps forward, even if you have to take 1 step back. A little progress is better than none at all.
