What you give out in this world,
Comes back times three,
This is true,
This is Karma you see.

Perhaps in past lives I was simply horrid,
For in this life I've made an effort not to be,
Perhaps all those past indescretions,
Are coming back to haunt me.

I believe I've always been good,
In this life and any others,
Perhaps I'm just being reminded,
There are always lessons to be learned.

I believe in myself and all I can be,
I believe in peace and beauty of soul,
I believe that brighter futures are waiting,
For me to embrace and then feel whole.

Don't want hatred in my life,
Don't want anger and hurt in my soul,
Don't want to be a doormat any more,
I'm fighting for control.

If other's fail to see this,
Then it's their loss,
They too, will get their rewards,
They will pay the cost....

There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self...

Great Poem! I really liked the whole concept of Karma...have you heard the song Affirmation, by Savage Garden...your poem affects me in the way the song does. I'm awestruck and believe very much in it. Hope your past life wasn't terrible enough for you to have to pay for it in this one...
