~Shining In The Darkness~

Embraced by darkness of night,
a poet searches for glimpses of light.
Finding comfort and consolation in the quiet shadows,
creating legends and myths with shades of indigo.
Cryptic and mystical, with gifted poets pen ...
defines confessions of a soul, the dark places within.
Thine eyes have read behind and between the lines,
discovering the secrets hidden in verse and rhyme.
Realizing dark waters ... both its depth and undertow,
the mysteries of the man ... only the poet can ever know.
Though the darkness seem endless, constant and true,
the grace of your words, allows your light to shine thru.

Janet Marie,

I loved how this flowed and how the poet's light is revealed from the writings.  I am going to send this one as an ecard!

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."

Did you write the Book of Love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so
Do you believe in rock 'n roll
Can music save your mortal soul
And can you teach me how to dance real slow

Great Janet Marie, this is sooo perfect!  What a perfect way to describe a poet. The last line speaks the message so well...
