In the Shadows
lurk the fears,
the fears are mine
and yours.

In the shadows
what are the fears,
what do we hide
from them for?

Fears of past
and present alike,
Fears of the future
not being bright.

Fears that cause pain
for many years,
Why don't we cast them
out of sight?

Through the shadows
we must go,
to get to the
fearless tide.

Through the shadows
will we go,
and discover the fears
are on our side?

Love is our greatest weakness
but when it's found,
it's our greatest strength.

Great poem shadowheart... this poem tells me what I ask myself everyday... we must cast our fears aside, if not, we can never grasp the things that would bring us joy and contentment.

casting fears aside is a hard thing to do! Some people enjoy their fears. I just try to face it and get past it. Ugh. Great poem! -SEA
