I lower my head as they walk on by Do they not see that I am human too? For I shed tears and feel as they Am I odd cause I dont do as they do? I speak within my heart With poems that I write Darkness is my way of life And yes sometimes it isnt so bright But should they judge me for this? For I am human too I too smell the roses Why do they make my life so blue? If they were to pass me on the street They would never turn around For I look very average And I rarely make a sound But when they read my poems They judge me so fast Satan is in her heart, they say A spell she is about to cast I write about death and love It doesnt always mean that I am sad Those two things make the world spin So it doesnt make them good or bad It is a way of life, inwhich we all know Fighting for happiness is not full of glory But it tis a battle we ALL fight daily And we each have our own story! I do not love you for being perfect..... I love you for being perfect for me!! |

You are so right, Dark Kisses! I can relate to this poem, because I experience people judging me all the time too. I loved the thoughts you expressed here. Especialy the following lines.... "If they were to pass me on the street They would never turn around For I look very average And I rarely make a sound" Great work once again. Thank you for writing this poem. Joy Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old time is still a-flying, And this same flower that smiles today To-morrow will be dying. -Robert Herrick |

Yes I agree. I hate being judged based on my writings. The majority of my writings are dark and people often think me odd. But at least here we can count on eachother. The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |

This is very well written and so true. If people would spend less time looking around and judging others and spend more time taking care of their own lives the world would be much better. James |

**HUG** i know these feelings all to well...thats why i decided to post my poems here and see if what they tell me is true.....and guess what.....its not..i don't enjoy being sad, its just a way to release...too bad for them if they don't want to see my poems...then they will never get to see me. GREAT WORK! take care, Broken Wings "As you learn and grow, you will realize the greater the pain, the greater the growth." -IYANLA VANZANT |
