Still -- Lost in the beauty around me. The sun smiles -- The wind breathes -- The willow dances -- The birds sing -- And then I think of him. His rascal grin -- His soft curly hair -- His warm embrace -- His deep green eyes -- One look -- Lost. Trying to hold onto reality. Grasping futility for a way out -- A way to stop this madness! But his hand -- His strong arms -- All that can save me from death. My only escape from this land of dreams -- His love. True -- Real -- Forever. |

Many times I also think about that 'special someone'. I hope you have or someday will find him. Im sure you will. Love is so powerful! Great poem. It takes a minute to give your heart away, It takes as second for it to break. It takes a lifetime to forget that special someone, And the impact that they make. |

thank you for always commenting on my haikus....here i am to return the favor  ")i like the poem for its simplicity(shouldn't love be a pure,simple,uncomplicated emtion too?),esp the first stanza....yep,yep,everything seems so beautiful when one's in love....even when overcast skies are above,silly birds poop on you...etc etc....HA!HA! LOLsimilarly,i like ur last stanza "His love True- Real- forever" |
