Shades Let the fog roll in A thick gray blanket uncomfortable in it’s silence When light dissolves and the world fades to indistinct shadows While cool, sweet mist increases the searing pain of a parched soul Darkness strengthens the quiet desolation of inner isolation Where only his thoughts keep him sane © 3/27/00 Gary Pence Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night. -Edgar Allen Poe |

i do love your work, gary! i'm all about simplicity! i like the tie (that i see at least ) with nature...i can see the fog and clouds...but the deeper meaning is awesome...again the beauty in simplicity! great work, my friend! |

A great and simple work. I really enjoyed it. The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |
