I suffer the slings and arrows of oppression Coming from peers, this mortal persecution My vision clouded with hatred demanding In this world of little understanding Not enough bloodshed yet for them They pick apart the dried bones again Bite my lip and close my eyes Through the nighttime piercing cries What is life but a farewell tour? Always leave them wanting more And succumb to the growing vengeful voice Whose presence is chosen not by choice There is a place of sweetest peace Where I go until all cries cease It is the most difficult of my journeys To cross the barrier of my sanity Spiraling down into the storm of chaos Much like the colors in a painting by Degas Hold my ears against the chorus of violence And give in to the utter silence |

you always choose your words to fit so wonderfully together. and i loved the degas reference. though i'm not sure that should rhyme with chaos. (just teasing) anyway, another lovely work to have graced us all with. thank you much. jannel Dont wake the dead, Wake the dying, Don't change what you've said, Change what you're saying. |

ahhh....thank ya'll. I did make a stretch with Degas, but if you pronounce it right, it is like chaos. Thanks Starr, i'm glad you like. |

Aaah loved the line, 'What is life but a farewell tour?' Great analgy and I have felt this way myself. Well done There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |
