When your life is just faded pictures memories playing in your head will you look back at your life with regrets missed opportunities- things you should have said will you blame time and circumstance for not allowing you the life you wanted to live or will you know in your heart you gave all you had to give will you still long for things that were impossible, coult not be will you regret not being a real father to me "A poet is one who spends a lifetime standing out in thunderstorms, waiting to be hit by lightning" ~Randal Jarrell~ |

~starr this is an amazing piece of work here. I could feel the fustration, the anger, and even the sadness of this piece. I hope your dad realizes what he has, before its too late. As you so elegantly captured in this poem, we aren't promised tomorrow. I truly felt a part of your soul here. Thank you! Starr Gazer....I really feel pain and sadness here. Excellent on the writing. Unfortunately, it is not up to you....it is up to him. Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |

very emotional work here...and I relate all to well to your pain and questions...it is always a two sided loss in this situation...some of us feel the loss more than the others...thankfully we have our writing to express it ... and you have done that so very well in this piece. take care, jm and you can say baby... baby can I hold you tonight maybe if told you the right words... at the right time, you'd be mine... baby can I hold you tonight... tracy chapman |

I wish we could peek into the souls of our parents to see if they feel and see the pain they cause us. Great Job!! **HUG** take care, Broken Wings "As you learn and grow, you will realize the greater the pain, the greater the growth." -IYANLA VANZANT |

Thanks wierd how you don't realize what is really bugging you until you just start writing and the pen captures stuff and starts writing like it has a mind of its own ... "A poet is one who spends a lifetime standing out in thunderstorms, waiting to be hit by lightning" ~Randal Jarrell~ |
