FALLEN AWAY I look to the sky and see it shine, Though it's no longer there. I guess some things just burn so bright They never lose the glare. I made my wish with solemn kiss And blew it to the skies. Found nothing there but hot white air, A pocket full of lies. Heaven, shaken, dared awaken That flame within soul. That by the light of morning bright All Darkness took its toll. In solemn sorrow, dead tomorrow, Streaking across the sky. All eyes per chance to catch a glance Of splendor slowly die. In christened gleam, a whitewashed dream Of Love fallen away. Without a sound, crashes the ground Of hope - now Yesterday. Michael Anderson For all behind was dark and drear, And all before was night and fear. How many hours of night or day In those suspended pangs I lay, I could not tell; I scarcely knew If this were human breath I drew. Lord Byron |

Twas a sad poem, but very full of thought. I don't see very many people who can write with the same depth. |

Michael, I have a name for my Nameless Poet friend....Tormented Shakespeare! LOL You have this agonized, passionate thing going that speaks volumes to my heart. Amazing what a little trauma can do to make poetry sizzle. You are incredible. ~X~ |
