a tear rolls down my face for you,
and drops so slowly falling down.
followed by another one,
forming puddles on the ground.

puddles turn to little streams,
that trickle past my feet.
tears produced by heartache,
so empty and incomplete.

distance binds my love for you,
and leaves me cold and lonely still.
streams turn into rivers,

the river finds it's way to you,
soothing sounds that you can hear.
a quiet and simple endless flow,
brings you oh, so ever near.

travel that river to my heart,
there's no rapids in it's course.
calming waters made of tears,
