Ballad of the Ice King Pt4 Journey through the Dark land

Long Dropped the ice king
A infinite distance he fell
twisting engulfed by the night
In the foul mouth of hell

He landed with force
Into the Dark moonless land
Of the night ghouls he heard
Like drawn out cries of the damned

Through lands where no wind blows
And none of mortal hand survives
The Ice King continued
With his great flowing strides

All around was the fears
Trapped in his own mind
But his heart made strong
And his courage drove him on

For no dark thing approached
As the dark could not hide
The light in the kings heart
Or the sword at his side

The Ice King grew weary
But no sleep could he find
As the restless darkness
Prayed on his mind

He travelled so long
He travelled so far
He forgot the light
That had protected his heart

As the dark things closed in
And his hope was all lost
He unsheathed his sword
which was burning red hot

The blood of a demon
Dripped from the blade
As the dark things disintergrated
As in bright light where flayed

With the light of the sword
And the light that never dies
Acting as the Ice Kings guide
To the gates of the dark world

"Into the light" the ice king cried
As from behind him the darkness died
So on travelled the Ice King
Into the night

Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace,
of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd

damn Walter...this one is above excellent, I think its my fav of the saga...the imagery, the emotions...and the flow of the words...how do you do it...VERY WELL...that's how!!

This is perfect for here...a journey thru Darkland...that mind of yours contintues to amaze me. jm
