Upon the guillotine I lie Waiting for my turn to die And for what do I owe my death? Royal blood pumping through royal breast Born to die, I’ll live on Long after my flesh is gone Executioner with hood of black I curse, “I’ll be back!” Time, time, time, an imaginary line Life’s yours; yours not mine For down comes cold steel of blade Parting head and neck, blood sprays Before death I am not alone The body I stare at is my own Now to fulfill what I inherited at birth With darkness I leave this Earth |

A darkness that is a part of life and a life that is part of death. Well written & very poignant. |

Very poignant indeed, modern day yet olde.. Well done May the world hug you today, With it's warmth and love. I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart, That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world, Wishing you well and wishing you love...... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |
