I am sorry i did not know My heart was blind to sorrow I did not see what you meant to me Or what i meant to you I cannot say as dawns new day whether my heart ever recovers You were my light i was blind You were my soul i could not find You are lonely now as I When i laughed i made you cry What i say i regret this day and evermore until you smile I am sorry friend of mine i had no idea love was blind now your hurt nolonger mine with naught but darkness on my mind Fears held me then betrayed me to my own i could not lie to myself i didnt pay mind now im left alone to die I am sorry farewell my love Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace, of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd |

"I cannot say as dawns new day whether my heart ever recovers You were my light i was blind You were my soul i could not find"... excellent, I love this one...JM "...we were born before the wind...also younger than the sun... and my heart you have won...as we sailed into the mystic... I just want to rock your gypsy soul- just like in the days of old... and together we will float-into the mystic... Van Morrison |

That is a mournful piece you have just written. If this actually happened to you, then this is a superb nostalgic poem. |
