THE NEW AMERICAN DREAM The American Dream That twist of reality One must have money A family, own a home Let no one know there is no money To make ends meet What happened to the freedom We fought so hard to win Freedom to live our lives No one's "standards" to meet Spend money not had Buy things not needed This is how it's twisted Into the New American Dream Live in debt for all life Never make ends meet More and more is gathered in Until we meet defeat. Without darkness there is no light Without the light we cannot see the dark Balance...It heals the soul -- by: LB |

Lady B...this one says it so true... I know this story all too well... good work! take care, janet marie In the time we've known That we each are a part of one another We've lost as much as we have won... And as our lives have grown We have found that it only brings us pain To hang on to the things that we have done... ***Still I love the times you've come*** Jackson Browne |
