I stand, alone, in a forest. I stand, alone, beneath the moonlight. I stand, alone, under the night sky. I stand, alone, over the glowing earth. I stand, alone. NO one to guide me. No one to love. No more pain. I am happy, yet sad. For I am empty, but that way I will not feel Pain. I will not feel the torture others go thru for Love. Love has shunned me, sent me away, and seduced another to torture. Once I too was in love with Live. But it mocked me, and 'twas I that shunned it. ~goddess of love, passion, and desire~ |

I love this poem...no matter how many times I've read it in the purple notebook (the purple one right?) "Dreams are not a reality, no matter how much we wish"-TanAngel |

Liked this, lots of pained feeling, oozing out so to speak, from the corners of each line! Joy |

I felt the pain too, but I must add don't shun love and life too long, for you may miss something wonderful that only comes once in a lifetime!! Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |

another outstanding poem by Venus!!! so expressive and well written, never give up on love, life...or writing!!! take care, janet marie ..."when you walked into the room...I saw their faces--- did you know--you made it seem like time was standing still... and I felt---fascination...though I only knew you then--just casually... then you slowly turned and smiled in my direction... and my heart gave me away"....
