You opened my eyes to a world anew At first it was a world of love and happiness But now I see it is a world of suffering and pain. Is the pain worth it? I don't know. ~goddess of love, passion, and desire~ |

Venus the pain is not always worth it but it may create a blindness to all the happy and joyful things behind it. "Dreams are not a reality, no matter how much we wish"-TanAngel |

Hey, Venus. You know just as much as I do (well, we do share almost the same pain, correct?) that the pain is worth it. It always will be. DayDreamer "Keep hope, for a candle in the strongest wind will still give light." |

Hey Venus this is very nice. I think you would have a hard time finding someone to say yes the pain is worth it. I would be interested to hear there explanation if you get a positive response. I know that pain teaches us lessons. I have a suggestion for a title, I know you didn't ask, but here it is anyway..."Love and pain" James [This message has been edited by jmlee12345 (edited 02-06-2000).] |

Sometimes the pain was worth it...Sometimes it wasn't...But in the end, it made you stronger...Great poem! "It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone- but it takes a lifetime to forget someone." |

i think it depends on what kind of pain is being caused, and how severe. i think i would have to agree with keli. Something has to change. An undeniable dilemma. But I am not a burden anyone should bear. -Tool- |

Great use of few words. My answer would be that continuous pain is rarely worth it, because love's purpse is to take away the pain that the world causes us, not to add more.
