One day at a time, I go on wondering why, Why do I put up with this life?, Why do I put up with the pain?, My brody is broken, My spirit is torn, I am helpless, Still I wander why I go on?, Why don't I give up?, I am losing my mind everyday, One day at a time, I lay here suffering in my state of mind, I watch as the world I once loved turned into something terrible, As I am stuck her waiting, suffering, and dying, One day at a time, Should I go on I wounder as a Icy grip of death is opon me, I lay here broken, used, and beating, As I wander through the grave yard, I find my wife and son's grave, I place my last possesion at the grave, My life, MY soul and the rest of my being, To see them once more, I gave what I had to marry her, I gave my life for my son, Now I lay here with a gun to my head, Saying with tears in my eyes, I love you, I will be with you soon, My life I watch as I slowly pull the trigger, My last thought before the end, It was a happy one indeed, Now I am finally free, I am happy yes I am, Happy to die, No, Happy to Finally live By jay vaughn |

jay: very good and wonderfully moving... i recently read a poem by a friend in the critical analysis form about the life of curt cobain that was very similar in ending... i really like the thoughts put into this one... sincerely, jerome the boy with no soul A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover! ~Coleridge |

So sad and sensitively written. Thanks for sharing it with us. I wrote one in OP5 Windswept Plains had a softer tone to it than this though. Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |
