What is my destiny? Why am I here at all? Why was I born, If all I'm meant to do is fall? A curse on me to be so unfulfilled A curse on me and mine, My spirit is begging to fly, But there are no means I can find. My child better turn out to be another Einstein, Or it'll prove to me my time here meant nil, Oh God's warmth enclose me, Chase off this chill. The chill that envelopes my world, A never ending question mark, An aloneness deep inside, Unfulfilled, and lack of pride. I need so much more in this life, Love abounding, goals and pride, Not terror in the dark, And nowhere to hide. I see the beauty all around, Lovers, in nature, and people's souls, But all I feel is disfunctional, A life of nothing takes it's toll. Can't even explain the pain I feel, Is it imagined or is it real? Is the world all it's meant to be? And is there any purpose in me? Let your heart guide you. Isis I've thought about all that destiny and fate and curses stuff and having gone thru lots of painful experiences I have come to the conclusion that our sad experiences can either destroy us or they can strengthen us and give us resolve and courage and we will become a more compassionate and loving person from these experiences. And you ask in the last line what was your purpose. I believe that you have been blessed because God is molding you into a warm and compassionate woman because that is your desire and your purpose. I also believe that we have seasons in our lives and I truly believe that as surely as you have experienced a season of sadness and loneliness God will bless you with a season of wonderful joy and happiness. Look for that happiness and hope for it and pray for it and expect it to happen. James |

Isis, that was a great poem. One of the best I've ever read. I even bookmarked it for later reading. Keep up the great work!  Never lose hope, even the darkest nights have ends. |
