Sometimes I feel threatened and feel the urge to run, from the coliding thoughts in my mind from the raging fire in my heart. But, alas, I too frequently allow those thoughts to pummel me. I touch the fire and get burned only to throw my entire being in. Sometimes I feel threatened and feel the urge to run but, moretimes I just stand here and endure the reduction of my soul to ashes. I am an acquired taste, I'm anchovies. Not everyone likes those hairy little things. Tori Amos |

amy: the last line "the reduction of my soul to ashes" -- incredible!! i love it... i know no other terms but to call it "poetic" or "masterful"... the poem as a whole is great, but i just cant get over that last line... very good job... sincerely, jerome the boy with no soul A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover! ~Coleridge |

Thankyou all for the comments, it means alot to hear from people who know what I am feeling. One question, Jerome, if you have no soul how can you tell me the last line is incredible? If you had no soul, you would have no emotion, just wondering, and I was also wondering where you post, cause I can't find anything recently. Thanks again. |
