Hope is fading, It's light flickering, Hope is a poor comforter, Would someone stop the screaming? Happy New Year indeed, A day, the dawn of a new millenium, Filled with hate and anger, You said you wouldn't do it again. How can I hope, When this is all you give me, What hope is there, For my little heart and me? Encaged, locked up, Hey you are in control now, And then you dangle promises, They won't happen anyhow. No love, excitement or joy, Just darkness in your employ, No outing, nothing changes, nothing new, Oh how happy we are, sorry that's not true. Stagnancy is your kindred, Darkness is your friend, Who will stand by you? You'll be alone at the end. You are going insane, And I know you'll try to take us with you, But not if I can't help it, I have love and more living to do. So the trip will be yours alone, And I shall wave bye bye, I won't feel sorry for you, I know I shall not cry... At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet. (Plato) ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

There's always hope, isis. Sometimes we're just looking in all the wrong places. Michael |

I liked verse four alot. The entire piece is apt angst. Well Done. Jennifer Love is an attempt at penetrating another being,But it can only succeed if the surrender is mutual. |
