City Girl In a Prairie House It's still there but without a city girl That old tin roof house I hated Sitting on the prairie In the same old spot, I left it. I never miss that old house I depised it so Everytime I returned home to it I wished it had burnt down. Now I'm just glad I don't live there And I pity those who do For I know the lonliness Of the city girls that do. [This message has been edited by Septsong (edited 12-30-1999).] |

This is kind of sad, and prairie is spelt with an ie ![]() At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet. (Plato) ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

This is good, but I wish we had more info. But I don't know, because I knid of like it the way it is, kind of a riddle. |

I understand the bleakness you speak of; but I am a prairie girl, transplanted to the city, who longed for the prairie ever since, and finally was able to move to the mountains, with great joy. (I never planted any roots in the city life.) ...Living is ever like crossing rivers; finding a new life on each shore ... RJG |

I have always missed the country, but for me it holds to many painful memeories. I guess I would rather deal with the memeories than to continue living in the city feeling lonely. I enjoyed what you wrote and I liked how it left me wondering. |
