When the time comes on New Year's Eve, To join hands and sing Old Lang Syne, I remember a favourite uncle of mine, Who made it fun for a young child at the time. I thought it was all so daggy, Holding hands and singing that silly song, But only Uncle Graham made the night fun, Our night filled with laughter all night long. He was such a funny fellow, Played with me just like a kid, Sneaking more lollies my way, Always loving and special the things he did. He has been gone some 15 years, I still miss him and remember him fondly, If I could have just one wish, It'd be that Graham could spend one last New Year's with me. So when I hear that song at midnight, My heart won't be truly glad, It'll be remembering a long gone loved one, I always shed a small tear, it's kind of sad. I wish he hadn't died, Wish he was still here with us all, But Graham know I'm thinking of you, And loving you, in my eyes you didn't fall.. HAPPY NEW YEAR GAY GAY.... At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet. (Plato) ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |
