Yeah, so I got tired of posting in Teen Poetry and just decided to post this in Open instead. Just to see what happens. I haven't written any poetry in a long time. So, here goes. =================================== early spring came in the form of late summer and you are telling me "this is perfect...perfect." music weaves itself in and out of the scene with so much dissonance and i will insist that this is far from perfect because our hands are not covered in blood still i feel guilty so guilty and, oh, this has gone far beyond where it was intended to go this is far from perfect because our mouths speak not of what we know still i feel guilty so guilty under fruitless trees and a blinding sun you are still telling me "this is perfect...perfect." |
