Eye of The Beholder

We all have so many words and thoughts to share.
Some good, some bad, but who are we to judge.
It is all in the eye of the beholder-
Whether it is a masterpiece
or just a bunch of words.
First words written on a page of white-
To a mother from her six year old.

"Mommy you are my best friend
You like worms and so do I
I love you".

A masterpiece in his mother's eyes-
As the tears of delight trickle down her cheek
But to his buddy who is five.

"Yuck! That’s mushy".

See it is all in the eye of the beholder.
The same little boy, age eight-
To a little girl with golden curls
and eyes of blue.

"Roses are red
Violets are blue
I eat toads and so do you".

His buddy thinking this is a masterpiece-
The little girl, not impressed.

A writer of words is a man called Poe-
Some say he is crazy
His words a waste of time
Not in the same category as our famous Shakespeare
He does not conform to our educated scholars
He does not write the way we wish him to convey his message.
Another comes along and drinks in his every word.
See my meaning... dear reader?
It is all in the eye of the beholder.
So when you mount your manmade throne.
Sharing your great knowledge with superiority.
Remember...
It’s strength and beauty is all in
The Eye of The Beholder.

Hugs BonBon

Hugs~

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

to the very grain of my soul, each word of another is very signficant, and we should not deem ourselves critiques.  Speaking of such, I've not seem many a movie due to reviews, and was sorry later...wondering what that person could have been thinking?

Thank you dear lady, for your wise and kind words as a reminder to all of us, in our everyday lives.  Your a peach!  Smiles and hugs.
