+*+*+*+*+*+ Other people's rudeness, Reflects right off of me. It bounces into outer space, In to a cosmic sea. I refuse to let their words, Put a damper on my day, So I smile and excuse myself, And then I walk away. One can talk politely And still speak one's mind. For nothing's ever gained, By being so unkind. Life's too short, to spend the time, With they who are not nice. oh! I NEED this on the wall at my job! REALLY! I see over a thousand people a day in my work...constant non-stop folks...I am the rule-enforcer... they make me crazy sometimes |

You know, i've been thinking about that a lot lately, other peoples hatred and rudeness, I sometimes let myself get too angry and wound up by it, and even waste more time trying to make them just, I don't know, stop. Maybe I should just walk away. Something to think about.  Thanks Linda. |

gemdrop ~ I enjoy peace and harmony and I leave situations that upset that balance in my life. When I was younger, I'd get caught up in other's dramas and would get so upset and discombobulated that I wouldn't make much sense! My brain ceases to function when I'm angry. Besides, they would start to sound irrational and passions would rise and the whole confrontation would escalate. Nope, I now keep my cool, smile and walk away. LOL... I was called VERY rude earlier this week... by 3 munchkins who thought traipsing around shedding grass clippings over the carpet I'd just vacuumed was SUCH a fun thing to do... and come to think of it, they DID let my "cease and desist" words bounce right off of them! LOL Enjoyed this! *S* |

Now Toerag's always rude, And sometimes not too nice But it's all in jest, It's a part of my disguise When people say unkind things, or are rude or even worse, I always salvage my feelings, by just considering the source. "I appreciate your rudeness" I say, "honestly, I really do, Considering how the unkind words, only came from you." But to put it in perspective, what I really meant, Is an insult from a source of ignorance, is really just a compliment!" |

I avoid nasty folks like the plague. If I get upset then I'm ill for the rest of the day and they go about their business without a care.Not worth the gray hairs. Besides............... I don't have the money right now to buy a bottle of Clairol.  Hugs BonBon  |

Susan ~ At times, I must admit, I do find it difficult to shrug off some of those barbs. I tend to be rather sensitive, however, I also have a strong sense of survival so I choose to remove myself from distasteful and very unpleasant situations before they drag me down. I try not to get drawn into other people's dramas. Self-preservation and a calm approach to life is what keeps me sane and out of trouble! lol Warm hugs, Linda |

Dixie ~ Well I am both pleased and honoured. It is such a thrill for me when my poetry can reach out and touch people. Thank you. Stay cool and calm ~ and then go run around the block a couple of times! lol And oh, don't forget, counting to 10 really helps one to react rationally and to cool down a bit!
