Totaled Car......Changed Life |

Turning into a Walgreens parking lot a few weeks ago a horrible thing happened. Two cars collided- one car completely totaled-the other a busted out windshield. When I turned you saw me but didn't stop....I saw you but stopped realizing there was no where for you to go I continued driving. The people at the salvage company tell me i'm lucky that you hit me at the angle that you did....otherwise I would not be sitting here writing this poem....I would be dead at the age of 26. Fear cut through my heart----there's so much that I haven't done. I feel like this is my second chance to turn things around. My wake up call...I guess you could say......all i know is life shouldn't be taken for granted....we should make the most of it while we're here. I know I don't do this much but thank you God for giving me back my life. ****3 weeks ago my car was totaled by a man who was going over the speed limit to beat a green light with his wife and child in the car......I was turning and stopped when i saw him but then realized there was no where for him to go....he would have to stop for me. He didn't....he continued and took my front end off...pushing my car into the bushes. I've been told by more than one person I should not be here today.....but I thank God I am. |

Several years ago the same thing happened to me. I was carrying my son at the time and my mom was in the front seat with me. As I rounded a curve in the road I thought "Oh my gosh he is going to hit me". He sure did totaled the car and took my front fender through his drivers side windsheild. Scary feeling. BonBon |
