Limbo

A moment ago I was with you,
but that was yesterday,
so long ago,
so before today.

I loved you then . . .
before memory built a vault
in which to store my thoughts . . .
of you.

A place – not quite within my heart,
no longer essential to my soul –

Limbo.

Where I love you . . .

Now.

(untitled)

There were no stars tonight –
every one replaced with the image
of someone I knew –
or used to know,
someone  I loved once.

Forever.

A very touching and heartfelt poem.  What an unusual yet refreshing way to say, "I love you."  It makes a lot of sense, though.  Well-written and poignant.

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

This is very good.  An interesting perspective on where we store our past loves.  Like it.

It does seem like just a moment ago, and yet years pass, and we still remember. Do they?
Really enjoyed this.
