a stone’s throw
wounded her heart
so near, too near,
to be so far

***

life in a jar
leaves one pickled,
break the seal-
please

***

strange cacophony
splits my thoughts
shredding knots
that kept
my sanity
from unraveling

***

donning shorts
to amuse the muse
that flits in and out
in butterfly style
