After the moment that I met fear, I discovered loneliness again. I ran to hide back inside. Fear was only momentary; my reaction a permanent solution. I have no way to counteract fear, but to flee. Have you the answer? Could you tell it to me? I beg for the strength to come back out and fight it. The fear I know is lurking outside. It visits often. I hear it against my window. Scratching. I would come out and face it if I knew any way to fight it. But, staying inside seems to be the only way to make the fear go away. So, here in my home, I stay. |

To live within is to examine ones self To live externally is to examine others, examining me… Fight the fear! Win the living of life. Excellent write. Enjoyed your sharing. JL She said: ”You look cute in the dark.” |

Have you the answer? Could you tell it to me? Wow, what a question? I understand the question all too well, but the answer? Who knows? I find I'm less fearful when I occupy myself with others or in physical activity such as swimming (there I pump the oxygen and can think a little more clearly) Wishing you relaxation. Enjoyed your poem! Sadelite |

Oooh, I know this feeling all too well. Face the fear....embrace it and tell it that it is just a feeling... you are in charge. Feelings can be overcome. Don't let life pass you by any longer. hugs, Chris Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. |

Fear and loneliness are the same thing. They are each other and they make each other. This site is like a book of art. Every page I open has something beautiful on it. Kaz |

Everything everybody said above is, what I believe, good advice to your question. I relate to your poem and you did a good job of expressing yourself. My mom used to say when I might be afraid of someone, "they all put their underwear on the same way." When that didn't work for me, I began painting mental images of the people I feared putting their underwear over the top of their heads. If that didn't work and I was still intimidated, I would (in my imagination) color that underwear in brilliant colored polkadots! hugs....jo |

Fear comes from the unknown. When you face a fear, you come to know it and its menace ceases. Doesn't make it any easier, but it is possible. First you must find faith in yourself. I've been told we are never tested beyond our endurance, thus, you will never face what you are not strong enough to overcome. Should you need it, reach out a hand. Sometimes another's courage braces our own. Best to you -- Susan The whole of the Universe resides within each individual heart. |
