Wilting white flowers paint a cross on the grass blow in the farmer's fields, stucco spoted sky silently sighing, merging with the hills of green receding beyond the horizontal line, little boy laughing lemon yellow caterpillar coiling around crayolas ladybugs looped in the strawberry patch, (somebody broke their promise today) the air is still free breathe.......... beneath a stoic sun the inkedgirl, the zenman, the trees and the falling rain, all scatter aimlessly as ants. Poems like this one remind me of how far I have to go before I'm really a poet. It look like a very great distance. Kaz |
