I waited for rose petals sweet to drift upon my pillowed hair I waited, but they never came I slept alone with no one there. I waited for the candles glow to flicker round my bed at night illuminators of romance but love is no where in my sight. I waited until I got bored and bought a sheet of roses red some candles of a fragrant scent it seems I must make my own bed. |

Nice...sometimes we need to be alone to figure out if we're who we want to be...a time to focus on ourselves...but not for too long...James |

and glad am I that you reposted this beauty - I think I missed it back then; my loss - until today. jwesley BTW - had I known I'd have personally sent the roses and candles though a poor substitute they'd be. jimmy [This message has been edited by jwesley (06-18-2004 05:30 AM).] |

You write so incredibly beautifully. Love has a funny way of showing up uninvited. It's there waiting to crash the right party. Your depiction of the wait lingers in my mind. I read it earlier and had to return. You have constructed a simply beautiful illustration of the absence of love...however temporary it may be. Warm wishes to you in all endeavors, including love.
