RiverFest2004 It's festival time... I know that, because clouds have fathered children and they pretend to be high flying kites of fog ruffling tree feathers and skipping with humidity ~ they make the birds sing... I wanted to write of clouds, and pending drops of humidity gathering quietly to form giant drops, but instead I wrote of we eccentrics who sit alone, while the world runs rampant with people, eccentrics who remain seemingly comfortable in noting notes or perusing pages, at ease in their alone, yes, content to hear voices of poets if only in their heads… taking time to track thoughts in tempoed, trickling tones of timbered poetry. Tomorrow, I will play at festival, walk the grass, eye the objet’s of the day; breathe deep of festival food which can fill one on scent, alone; laugh at the sky and smile into the sun…for it will be out, guaranteed… and if not? Why, it's festival time. most likely, the rains will kiss me, again. http://www.riverfestival.com/2004/ |

Very nice. Makes me want to come. I really enjoyed the bit about the clouds. You do have a way with the words. Susan The whole of the Universe resides within each individual heart. |

Karilea, I was thinking the same as Nancy. It doesn't really seem like a year since Riverfest, does it? Have fun, and come home with some of your beautiful poems and pictures. Hugs, Ethel |

"taking time to track thoughts in tempoed, trickling tones of timbered poetry" totally cool lines ...and I, for one, am thankful for the eccentrics, and their generosity in letting us plain folk peer into their lives...in words...and thoughts...and ideas... |

Munch an elephant ear for me? They are probably disgustingly bad for one, but festivals seem to grow them like Kettle Corn. Have a great time! KJ (PS A pleasure to read your work!) Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

Happy Weekend to Ya |
