You were here long before my arrival, but I travel within the footprints you so carefully left behind. On days when I’ve been lost and stepped on rocks instead of sand, you’ve somehow found a way to reach out and offer me a guiding hand. You are within and without the hidden core the porous surfaces of me, and when I’m blinded by my human stupidity and insanity, you exhale fresh air in front for me to breathe, offer healing sunshine that warms the cold of me. In every living creature you make me understand there is something far greater than what I can see. You overlook my myopic vision of the universe and forgive me even when I pretend not to feel your words in my heart. You are the One, the source of all being the beginning and the end and everything in between. I know you not, yet I trust you. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (06-08-2004 11:55 PM).] |

Too often we fail to recognize and appreciate the things we take for granted...and forget to thank the One who gave it all to us. I am as guilty as the next. Thank you for reminding me to say thank you again. This was a superb poem with the grandest inspiration of all. Your poetic friend, Kevin |

How could we possibly ever "know" the All that is All -- I'm with you on this one. Sometimes, I'm so overwhelmed with the little wonders around me, I cannot express it.
