Off in the distance a songbird raises notes that will float over fields of soft timothy hay waving under pale Monet-like skies; and I let my mind wander at the wonder of seas of corn and wheat under darkest cobalt skies filled with blackbird cries, and try to imagine what the blank canvas felt as you brushed it with passion and fury. Oh, Vincent, if ever there was an artist whose heart bled through, it was you. |
