The Genus Ipomoea Some folks plant it in their yard and think it’s pretty neat. Myself I fight it tooth and nail, but I’m ready for defeat. It winds its way through ladders and up to second story. You’ll recognize this pesty plant; it’s called the Morning Glory It came from China or Japan; it’s something of a treasure. It gives me grief year after year. It’s really not a pleasure. It winds up pipes and over fences, conquering every path. I pull it out of bike and barrow; it really gets my wrath If you’ve a yen for this fair plant, just send me out a note I’ll pack it up and pay the freight. You’ll even get my vote! No doubt you think it’s fun that I should war and not just rest It thinks it’s like some kudzu but, it’s really just a pest. [This message has been edited by kayjay (06-07-2004 11:50 AM).] |

Don't know who provided the impetus for this delightful vine of thought, but it sure "grew" on me... ![]() |

Okay Ken...I love Morning Glory...it's one of my favorite flowers, even thought it has a bit of the devil in it ![]() ![]() |
