Indelible strokes of wonder
Across a painted sky:
A sight so rare, these lights aflight
Tilt hovering wings of lore
O'er sleeping bedrock towns,
Filling wizendest of eyes
And aching, faded hopes;
Time they can but dare, and
Echo-sail by dreams,
In far-flung alien winds,
Here with stealing themes...

I can't say that there is "life out there", but if there isn't I'd have to agree with Jody Foster's character in the film "Contact" - "It would be an awful waste of space!
