Ink Tears

words sting blank pages echoing in black
eloquence in letters read by no one but me
how can I explain this emptiness in ink tears
just another something you can not understand
of how I am emotions that flow from a pen
I cry when I am hurt and laugh too loud happy
maybe I wear this too close to the top of my skin
but I can not and will not cover who it is I am
but there is too fine of a hair line that we walk
the spaces between rejection and full acceptance
and I can not heal you but in this I heal me

As you can see, Helen, the entire poem touched my heart.
I understand this so much.
Hugs to you,

I liked this one and identify with it since I write, like most of us here about what inspires me good, bad, or indifferent.  Sadness, rejection, anger are all things we use to put pen to paper.  We vent with written words.  Is that not inspiration also?  In that context, I am in solidarity with you as are most here.  You have a talent that is sincere and refreshing to read and I enjoy reading your work.  Thank you for allowing me to read and appreciate it.

"but I can not and will not cover who it is I am"

This line just grabbed me in its strength.  Good write, Helen; I liked the anaology.   .....jo

What a magnificent line!!!

of how I am emotions that flow from a pen

and a fine poem, too!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

When a love runs deep within our very being it takes more than an eternity to heal.
We may think everything is going along fine then SAP....something happens and we may recall a moment that is now lost in the wind of tomorrow.

I think this is my favorite of your writings, missed one . . . full marks all the way around - loved the honesty here too.
