As branches darken
birds congregate
on the treelined sky,

shattered hearts
view the sunset,

hidden stars
realign,

such is this world
of paradox,as
beauty and sorrow
intertwine.

Yes, life is all about taking the bitter with the sweet. Fortunately, I have a sweet tooth and seek out life's candy!

A wee, but powerful write! Full of impact without being wordy. As always, you cause me to ponder! ~ and that's a good thing!

~ Have a marvelous day, Poetessa Goddessa!

Yes, Inky, They "interwine" The trick is to make them balance...not let one vine choke out the other..
enjoyed this very much...I needed to read this this morning, funny how when we search hard we find what we are looking for...

Ethereal captivating expression of the paradox.....

Between night and day
hovering face to face
the moon and sun-
in a silent sky
that is not dark nor light

passing shadows

“beauty and sorrow”  is life so true.

Wonderful write!

Always enjoy spending time with you, and will use any excuse at all to do so . . . and this is the BEST excuse I could find at the moment and still be somewhat "coy" about it...
wonderful piece my friend...
