Visiting Earth on a Guest Pass

Patience

the mountains
will be there
on another day
or another

maybe they’ll be
greener then
the sky closer
deeper blue

trees returning
after fire will be
more full then
more alive

maybe we’ll be
there then and
it will be better
than today

It does take patience to wait for a better day...especially when they never seem to come.  You set the mood with this one, a sort of resignation that I could feel.  Lots of emotional impact.

Ed, as patience is not one of my virtues, and I've promised to practice it, this would be an excellent mantra for me.  Thank you. click

Some things are definitely worth waiting for... But oh... how that wait aches! *S*

I love the optimism you weave with the resignation... wonderful work!

Patience is a virtue that is not always that easy to come by! ~ But then, anything that is worth having is worth waiting for!

~ May your mountains grow green and may they be kissed by the bluest of skies!
