Lavender by the bed and in my head the undulating fears scale white cliff face to somewhere that scent has no calm. She is no drug and so I wonder why I can't move death-still the nausea of floating visions about mind that boasts weightlessness even though you're on it rocking the boat. Lavender? How far can you move in a year without miles this anniversary makes me sink in an easy second and exile This inhale~exhale of a year a motionless tangle woven with shifting imaginations thinking I saw you clung to the underside of a ship breath still lingers exactly there and then. Adrift I wonder with my eyes closed if you can only float so far without trying when I was sure I'd done all I could. |

Beautiful writing, my little friend. Good to see you. Would your anniversary have been soon? Gary and I are having one tomorrow. Hugs, Ethel |
