Sweetness Bought By Bitter Irony Incense burns as crimson es yearn for more of you, They enter in original sin, my own adieu. So long sweet day, coercive way along the pallid path, Tonight will scream of endless things, haunted by evil laugh. Lay awake and fear sounds you never hear, but now wish you had, Those dreams of crossed hearts and false starts end in you taking the stab. Hope returns to those who learned innocence as a lost art form. Unpenned, strong words have seen them, but never speak unto the worn. Alas, our plight loves the emotional fight for one-sided battles in progress Never lie to the uncouth eye, waiting to believe more than soul doth protest. |

Excellent write! Especially this line: “Hope returns to those who learned innocence as a lost art form. Unpenned, strong words have seen them, but never speak unto the worn.” JL ![]() She said: ”You look cute in the dark.” |

Intense with emotion. Peace. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

"Lay awake and fear sounds you never hear, but now wish you had," my favorite line...it evokes a level of fear we all have experienced but fear to remember...nice write... |
