Under sky blue pale The road became a wide trail, Then narrows in half, And became a well worn path. Rocks and stone galore Made the narrow path no more Blocked from his walking He began careful climbing Till passage was made Sitting there resting he stayed. A white cloud drifted Shaped like a seagull in flight His spirit lifted As moist eyes followed the sight He thought of the sea Which he might not see Ever again now Except in a cloud. A hawk in a tree Screeching to an unseen mate Then flew from the tree Some appetite yet to sate The gull broke apart And he resumed his journey; There deep in his heart The seagull he could still see Ever again now Even in a cloud Gloom |

Professor, Again, your writing amazes me! You establish the setting and the events or thoughts practically happen by themselves. You leave a lot of open space for the reader to draw from own experience. Such a gift you have. Sadelite |

Freedom embodies wings without a compass, just a knowing in the heart... Nice write. TD |
