Cicadas

Sweltering in heat
deafening were the sounds of
training the roaring ....

to be of no consequence.

I've heard they stay crunchy in milk too.

Well, that's what I've heard, anyway!

Enjoyed, m. Noisy buggers, ain't they?

Karen, Michele, Iliana and Susan I spent the weekend with my sister only an hour away, from my home in PA...we don't have them yet...but boy are they loud down there in MD.

They sound like a  motor running all the time or as if you have a truck route on your street.

Crunchy shells hanging off of everything...and the red eyed bugs clung to my car as I traveled home.
They sure make a mess when they hit your windshield...

Yes, I guess it's a once every 17 year thing..mating or something...lol.
Love this...and I love the sound they make..
Makes me remember it's summer.
Hugs~
