Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2004-05-20 04:47 AM

I sit and eat at a restaurant,
I feel guilty,
I don't want to eat anymore,

Thinking of you, all of you,
in the heat, the desert,
and I am here, so comfortable,

I sleep at night in a bed,
I feel guilty,
you sleep on sand,
with fear at hand,

I hug my family, watch tv,
I feel guilty,
you miss your loved ones,
your life has uncertainty,

You are a son, a daughter,
a wife, mother, husband, brother,
a uncle, aunt, father,

You are brave and strong,
but sometimes scared and afraid,
home is where you belong,

I light a candle in my heart,
every night, a prayer,
in appreciation of you,
your life, your sacrifice,

I'm living here with freedom,
because you are dying there,
It's just not fair,

I just want you to know,
I see you, I know what you are doing,
for America to be protected, to be free,

But I still feel guilty,
I still feel undeserving,
of your life for me.....

Open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart, let me come in and show you love.....~ARH

Very nice, and I am very sure they appreciate it.

It makes me sad that I don't go to boot camp till December 6th. I'll be sure to pass it onto my friends/relatives who are in the military.
