Etched in the illusion of time

Oh, the roses - -

Indeed in shades of peculiar whites and rampantly
misused nirvana,
we humble our lies to confuse a society of treason

whilst murmuring

Oh, the roses - -

O'er a sky bloodstained and disconsoled, maybe then
the prayers will answer their own

paintbrush, steel
bristles broken over salty skin and tastes of
dew
like brackish water, only one tone sweeter
than adagio

do you or do you not push for elegies,
from the lips of innocence

...?

Oh, the roses - -

but how could one thorn inside my palm change
an entire patience
throwing away what is meaningful,
keep eternity in a small paper bag
with coffee beans, and petals swinging

lost their velvet

oh, the roses
shivering silvering the blueness
mistaking scarlet's vast impure
an antique Palestine

If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi
