It’s the end of day
Sitting in café
Hear them twittering
Pair of finches flittering
Branch to branch to ground
Makes a joyful sound
In search for small crumbs
When diners are done

It’s the end of meal
Sunset bring a chill
Two young girls meeting
In garden greeting
Makes a joyful sound
Hug and then sit down
Hear them twittering
Young eyes glittering

Gloom

Professor,
Enjoyed the mood in this!  Liked your meter and rhyme. Great, as I've come to expect!    Sadie

Thank you, Sadelite
I do tend to use meter and rhyme,
Although some tend to think of it as unneeded to poetry
I think of it as an integral part
Pleased you enjoyed.

Thank you, nakdthoughts,
With a smile as bright as yours
I am sure you will burn off the clouds soon enough,
A pleasure to share with you

Gloom

Wait...

Where are we?

I thought we were in the mountains?
