The color guard shall pass Commemorating victory and loss These undisputed truths Of such bravery and cause Those fallen upon coastline On the beaches, on the hills And no less upon our memory Tropic jungles, sand blown fields Different politics or demons Innocents engrave God’s arms For a freedom that we cherish Never less this truth disarms So I call to you humanity Bow my head in honor all For the truth that war is final And to love our brave befall Copyright Kkh 5/16/04 Please join me blue family in the honor of bravery for this Memorial Day Tribute. K. Please accept this as my addition to the tribute you have started.... You gave with an outpouring of unselfish courage, bravery and even fear. You, the thousands of souls who have trod the killing fields as life sapped unmercifully falls before you, causing a stumble. The screams unheard, the terror blinded to the world, brought slowly into our eyes..as we wept our tears and the waters of our eyes mingled with your own. In memory we honor, as hands touch the walls, rest softly upon each granite stone...of the known and those who rest without. I give... To each, my admiration, praise.. My devotion to the memory which shall not die....for each has died a hero’s death..remembered... And I stand before you....heels together, shoulders straight....saluting proudly....as my tears mingle in the ocean of souls, not forgotten... |
