Those planned and pearled directions Seem distant purposed resurrections The ones engraved in stone Set back against a neutral tone How wide the ripple of a touch Be hard or soft the fathom such In monotone convections Embrace of recollections The map was drawn on sail and sea Storms sent in time to wage decree Emotions walked the canyon floors Against the tide the sky implores How deep the imprint of a scar Indelible as time sends far A call predestined in the bone Returning echo motions home The toss of penny calculations Thrown to the wind in steady rations The lantern lit past peak and knoll Remembers of its own this soul Copyright Kkh 5/12/04 |

How wide the ripple of a touch Be hard or soft the fathom such In monotone convections Embrace of recollections Well...after reading the poem 8 times, I think I'll read it again. How wide indeed, this touched me greatly. and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me... |
